North-east club insist Frenchman is going nowhere this summer.
Newcastle United are adamant that there have no offers for their coveted midfield player Yohan Cabaye, says the Independent on Sunday.
The talented France international has been the subject of much speculation of late linking him with a big-money move back to his homeland when the summer transfer window reopens on July 1, with mega-rich Ligue 2 champions AS Monaco understood to be keen to bring Cabaye to the South of France for next season.
The 27-year-old has been one of the Magpies’ best performers ever since he moved to St James’ Park from Ligue 1 outfit Lille for just 5 million euros in July 2011, featuring in 73 matches in all competitions for the north-east club in that time, and registering an impressive 11 goals and 11 assists, including ten strikes and 11 assists in his 60 Premier League contests.
However, Newcastle have strongly denied reports in France that the playmaker was already in Monaco undergoing a medical before a £23m move to the club.
