Earlier this week it was reported by The Telegraph that, with Roy Hodgson’s England contract expiring after the Euro 2016, the Football Association would replace the current manager if the Three Lions don’t perform well in the tournament.
Here are the top ten candidates who could replace the England manager…
10. Sean Dyche
Burnley’s manager did a stellar job of getting his club into the Premier League, and stayed competitive for a while. But Burnley lacked the talent to avoid relegation. Dyche has shown the ability to inspire his team but his lack of experience at the highest levels could prove a challenge.
9. Eddie Howe
The young Bournemouth manager has been a revelation for the Premier League newcomers, finally bringing the moribund club into the top ranks after taking over the job at age 31. His youth and intelligence would definitely appeal to the FA, but he needs to prove he can win in the Premier League first.
