Brazil star in line to take on Hodgson’s England in Rio on Sunday.
Chelsea midfield player Oscar has warned the rest of the world that his compatriot Neymar will only get even better now that he has agreed to join Spanish giants FC Barcelona for next season, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Santos and Brazil superstar confirmed last week that he would be playing at Camp Nou in the upcoming campaign, meaning that the 21-year-old will now have a full season in Europe ahead of next year’s World Cup finals back in his homeland.
And his compatriot has sent out a stark message to the rest of Planet Football ahead of the global show-piece event next summer, saying: “Neymar is a big player and his arrival at Barcelona will only increase the level of his game.
“That will be very good for Brazil in a year’s time.
“He is a spectacular player and moving to Europe will only help him develop his skill, ability and make him even better.
“It has helped me at Chelsea, fit in with the team, I have improved my level and adapted to a different style. It helps you learn and progress.”
Neymar has played in 32 internationals for the five-time world champions since making his Brazil debut against the United States in July 2010.
And, in the intervening three-year period, the skilful playmaker has already managed to hit the back of the net an impressive 20 times.
