The Seattle Seahawks were able to hold off the Carolina Panthers with a 31-17 win in the NFC Divisional Round, and they will have a rematch from Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, who they defeated 36-16.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson shined against the Panthers by throwing for 268 yards and three touchdown passes on 15-of-22 passing.
The defense also continued its dominance as strong safety Kam Chancellor led the way with 11 tackles and a pick-six that was returned 90 yards.
Meanwhile, the Packers came away with a 26-21 win against the Dallas Cowboys as quarterback Aaron Rodgers shook off a calf injury and threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns on 24-of-35 passing.
Wide receiver Davante Adams rose to the occasion by catching seven passes for 117 yards and a touchdown as Jordy Nelson was blanketed throughout the game.
Outside linebacker Julius Peppers forced two fumbles while sacking Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo once, and the Packers totaled four sacks against a strong Cowboys offensive line.
However, they will have a major test in front of them as Wilson is always a threat to run while having accuracy in the passing game.
Running back Marshawn Lynch will also need to be accounted for as he ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks’ first meeting with the Packers.
Rodgers will have to take on a powerful Seahawks defense in Seattle with his calf still injured. While the Packers will put up a better fight than the last meeting, the Seahawks will ultimately be too much defensively while getting the job done on offense.
Prediction: Seahawks 24, Packers 20
