The NFL announced its three players of the week in the NFC for Week 11 of the 2014 NFL season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, San Francisco 49ers LB Chris Borland was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, and St. Louis Rams Kicker Greg Zuerlein was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Evans won the award after his incredible 7 catch, 209 yard and 2 TD performance against Washington. Evans’ performance made him the youngest WR in history to record over 200 receiving yards, and is only the fourth rookie since 2001 to record that same amount.
Borland, the rookie in relief of 49ers star MLB Patrick Willis this year, had 12 tackles and two key INTs in a narrow road win over the New York Giants.
Zuerlein went a perfect 5-for-5 on FGs to help the Rams get an incredible upset win over the Denver Broncos. Two of those FGs were from over 50 yards in the 4th quarter.
