The NFL announced its three players of the week in the NFC for Week 3 of the 2014 NFL season.
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, San Francisco 49ers SS Antoine Bethea was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, and Philadelphia Eagles KR Darren Sproles was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Rodgers completed 22-of-28 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns during the team’s 38-17 victory in Chicago, earning him the award.
Bethea won for his role in last week’s win over the Eagles with two takeaways, an interception and a forced fumble which helped stop any flow the Eagles ever developed.
Sproles, who previously won the award for Offensive Player of the Week back in Week 2, had an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown that gave the Eagles a 21-10 second-quarter lead.
