The NFL announced its three players of the week in the NFC for Week 5 of the 2014 NFL season.
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, Green Bay Packers LB Julius Peppers was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, and San Francisco 49ers K Phil Dawson was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Wilson won Offensive Player of the Week honors after tearing through Washington’s defense for 201 yards passing and another 122 yards rushing in Monday night’s 27-17 win over Washington. Wilson completed 18 of 24 passes for two touchdowns with another score on the ground.
Julius Peppers recorded a 49-yard INT-TD in a 42-10 blowout win over the Minnesota Vikings, along with a half-sack and 3 tackles.
Dawson won after he converted all five field-goal attempts and scored 16 points in a 22-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
