Intriguing clashes ahead for the NFL’s finest.
It may not be the real deal, but for fans starved of NFL action over the summer, the sight of the pre-season schedule will be a welcome one.
Reigning Super Bowl champions the Baltimore Ravens will hope to pick up from where they left off, although the roster will look a little different this year after several departures during the off season already.
The team they defeated in New Orleans, the San Francisco 49ers, will be just as eager to return to the showpiece event of the season and this time return home victorious to erase painful memories of falling sort.
The 65-game schedule kicks-off on Sunday August 4 in Canton Ohio, when the Dallas Cowboys face the Miami Dolphins in the Hall of Fame Game. It will be the first chance to see the likes of Mike Wallace and Dannell Ellerbe suit up for the Dolphins ahead of what they hope will be a successful season.
Moving forward, there are some intriguing meetings across the four week schedule, including the Seattle Seahawks travelling to Green Bay to face the Packers,
While it is always difficult to be overly enthusiastic about the pre-season games, there are potential Super Bowl previews and revenge clashes across the month. The Denver Broncos take on the San Francisco 49ers and the Seahawks, while the New England Patriots meet the New York Giants.
