2. Green Bay Packers
The Packers managed to escape the Dallas Cowboys at home after trailing by eight points in the third quarter, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers shook off a calf injury and threw for 316 yards and three touchdown passes. Wide receiver Davante Adams and tight end Richard Rodgers, who are both rookies, stepped up in big moments. Running back Eddie Lacy also had a solid performance with 101 yards on 19 carries. Rodgers has already proven that he is the deserving MVP and can outduel Tom Brady, but he will be tested once again by the vaunted Seattle Seahawks defense.
This time, he will have to take them on with his calf injury, which is still not fully healed. The Packers will also have to face the Seahawks in Seattle, where they were 7-1. The Packers were not as strong on the road with a 4-4 record. However, their defense has proven to be underrated as they held the Cowboys to 21 points. They also have a veteran hungry for a Super Bowl in outside linebacker Julius Peppers, who forced two fumbles and registered a sack against the Cowboys. The offensive line has looked stronger too. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga will be healthy for the upcoming game after leaving Week 1 with an injury while rookie center Corey Linsley will have more experience.
