Missouri defensive end Shane Ray played a huge role in his team’s defense as he easily replaced the production of Kony Ealy and Michael Sam.
Ray registered 14.5 sacks this season, which ranked third in the nation, and the Tigers ranked 19th in the country in points allowed per game with 21.1. As a result, Ray is expected to go in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft.
The defensive end made an unsurprising decision and announced that he will enter the draft, according to Bleacher Report NFL analyst Matt Miller.
Miller revealed Ray’s decision on Twitter.
Multiple league sources tell @Rand_Getlin that Missouri’s Shane Ray will enter 2015 draft. My No. 6 overall player.
