The Carolina Panthers are reportedly working out Nebraska DE Randy Gregory today even after his recent admittance to failing a marijuana test during the NFL Scouting Combine last month.
According to ESPN insider Josina Anderson, Gregory will be working with the Panthers. Carolina holds the 25th overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft at the end of April.

Last week Gregory admitted to failing a test for marijuana when he was tested at the NFL Scouting Combine in last February. It was not Gregory’s first positive marijuana test as he failed two drug tests in 2014 before being told that a third strike would cause him to be kicked off the Nebraska football team. He insisted that he has not smoked it since December though.
“At the end of the day, it was my fault. I was being selfish. I was being stubborn. I felt like I could do things my way and it would work, and it didn’t work,” Gregory said to NFL.com last week.
While the Panthers draft 25th overall pick would likely be a steal for one of the top defenders available in the draft, Gregory is not expected by all to fall that far. In ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay’s most recent mock draft, McShay had Gregory being drafted No. 6 overall by the New York Jets.
