Offensive Rookie of the Year – WR Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants
There’s one play that defines Beckham’s candidacy for Rookie of the Year and it’s this one. Considered by many to be perhaps the greatest catch in NFL history, Beckham set the NFL on fire by leading the league in just about every major receiving category through the final two months of the regular season.
And here’s one more feather in his cap: Beckham is the only rookie WR in a year full of great rookie receivers to have been named to the Pro Bowl.
Defensive Rookie of the Year – DT Aaron Donald, St. Louis Rams
One of the up-and-coming stars at the Defensive Tackle position, Aaron Donald emerged as one of the premier inside pass rushers, recording 9.0 sacks and nearly fifty tackles on an already talent-saturated Rams defensive line. For his efforts, Donald was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014 – one of only two rookie defenders to make the Pro Bowl.
