After last week’s epic back-and-forth between the Bills and Jaguars, London football fans were probably hoping that the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions would put on just as great a show. They were only half-right unfortunately.
From the start, the Chiefs were in complete control and proved more than capable of getting their offense churning in the absence of Pro Bowl RB Jamaal Charles.
In fact, it was actually QB Alex Smith – 31 years young – who had the runs of the game, first with a TD run that caught the entire Lions defense napping.

Later Smith would make the longest run of his career on a 49-yard scamper that set up another scoring drive.
TE Travis Kelce put the game away with a short TD catch in the third quarter that put the Chiefs up 31-3.
A pair of fourth quarter TDs by Jeremy Maclin and Spencer Ware were simply icing on the cake for the Chiefs.
The Lions were completely bogged down, unable to even get into the endzone until the fourth quarter.
