This incident occurred just hours after the Super Bowl in a downtown Phoenix hotel, which was close to where the Super Bowl was being played.
It still hasn’t been confirmed that the alleged victim was a prostitute, but Sapp is currently being held in a county jail.
Since retiring from the NFL, Sapp has held an analyst job with NFL Network and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013. NFL Network announced that he has been suspended indefinitely though.
