In an interview with NFL Network, Sanders talked about how much he enjoyed being a larger part of the Denver Broncos offense and working with the future Hall of Fame QB and remained hopeful for the future of the team despite a massive coaching shakeup that resulted in changes to the head coach, as well as offensive coordinator Adam Gase and the defensive coaching staffs.
“Well, (Adam) Gase is definitely in Chicago right now,” Sanders said. “And Peyton says he’s going to come back, but I’m not really worried about it, I really just want to win a Super Bowl. So that is all that is on my mind.”
Sanders did add that he feels backup QB Brock Osweiler is in a position to make the transition, should Manning not be up to the task of returning for another year in Denver in 2015.
“Yeah, I think Brock is a quarterback that is on the rise, he’s going continuously get better and I feel like Kubiak’s offense fits him really well,” he said.
In 2014, his first season with the Denver Broncos, Sanders set career highs with 101 receptions for 1,404 receiving yards – both 5th in the league, along with 9 receiving TDs. He was named to his first Pro Bowl for his efforts.
