Injuries continue to be a hot-button issue in the NFL, and in the interests of increasing safety, a new proposal has been made to grant injury spotters the power to stop a game if a player is seriously hurt.

Most notably, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman sustained a concussion in the Super Bowl, but he was able to return to the game.
Injury spotters have never been able to stop play, but they may be able to if this new proposal becomes reality.
Sports Illustrated announced what may be a change to the NFL as they look to keep concussions and other injuries to a minimum.
