Cardinals Cowboys preview
The Arizona Cardinals are arguably the best team in the NFL as they hold a 7-1 record, and they have a golden opportunity to improve to 8-1 and widen their lead in the NFC West as they take on the St. Louis Rams.
The Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys last week while taking advantage of the absence of starting quarterback Tony Romo. They won the game, 28-17.
Quarterback Carson Palmer put on another fantastic performance with 249 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on 22-of-34 passing.
Meanwhile, the Rams are coming off their second major upset in an NFC West match this season. They held on for a 13-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers and sealed it with a fumble recovery at their own one-yard line.
Running back Tre Mason ran for 65 yards on 19 carries, and quarterback Austin Davis threw for 105 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.
Their defense will face another challenge from a Cardinals offense that features Palmer, running back Andre Ellington and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Wide receiver Michael Floyd is poised to bounce back too.
The Cardinals defense also continues to play at a high level, and Mason will have difficulty finding running room against their defensive line.
Prediction: Cardinals 27, Rams 14
