The Green Bay Packers continued their hot streak and improved to 7-3. They made a statement as they annihilated the Philadelphia Eagles, 53-20. This dropped the Eagles’ record to 7-3, and the Packers scored more than 50 points for the second straight game.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers continued to show he is a serious MVP candidate as he threw for 341 yards and three touchdown passes on 22-of-36 passing.
Wide receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson both shined as well as they both broke the 100-yard barrier. Cobb caught 10 passes for 129 yards while Nelson added four catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Running back Eddie Lacy made the most of his playing time with 10 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for 45 yards and a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez struggled as he threw for 346 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while losing two fumbles.
Running back LeSean McCoy had a respectable performance with 88 yards on 23 carries, but the Packers’ 30th-ranked run defense continued to look remarkably better.
Wide receiver Jordan Matthews continued to be a favorite target of Sanchez as he caught five passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.
