Packers Bears preview
The Green Bay Packers regained the form they showed before a rough loss to the New Orleans Saints as they played on Sunday Night Football again and improved to 6-3 with a huge win.
They demolished the Chicago Bears, 55-14, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw six touchdown passes in the first half. Rodgers was pulled in the third quarter, and backup Matt Flynn received significant playing time.
Wide receiver Jordy Nelson led the Packers in receiving with six receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
The Packers are on the outside of the NFC playoff picture, but they will have a prime opportunity to prove themselves as contenders against the Philadelphia Eagles, who hold a 7-2 record.
The Eagles gave quarterback Mark Sanchez his first start as he replaced the injured Nick Foles, and he passed his first test with flying colors against the Carolina Panthers.
Sanchez threw for 332 yards and two touchdown passes on 20-of-37 passing. Running back LeSean McCoy was held to 19 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries though.
Wide receiver Jordan Matthews became Sanchez’s favorite target as he caught seven passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
This game will feature a battle between two of the best offenses in the NFL, but Sanchez will not be able to keep up with Rodgers in the end.
Prediction: Packers 31, Eagles 21
