Quarterback Austin Davis threw an interception and then fumbled later on in the fourth quarter, and his overall performance was shaky as he threw for 216 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions on 17-of-30 passing.
Shaun Hill will be the Rams’ new starting quarterback as they take on the Denver Broncos, who improved to 7-2 with a 41-17 blowout win over the Oakland Raiders.
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw five touchdown passes against the Raiders to increase his total to a league-leading 29. However, he also threw two interceptions in the Broncos’ win.
Running back Ronnie Hillman went down with an ankle injury that will likely keep him out for a couple of weeks, but C.J. Anderson picked up the slack and ran for 90 yards on 13 carries.
Montee Ball, who is finally returning healthy from a groin injury, will compete with Anderson for touches.
Regardless, the Rams will be overwhelmed by the Broncos’ passing attack, and this game will be lopsided.
