The St. Louis Rams continued to be the spoiler of the NFL as they achieved their third major upset of the season and improved to 4-6.
The Rams stunned the Denver Broncos, 22-7, and quarterback Shaun Hill rewarded head coach Jeff Fisher’s faith in him by throwing for 220 yards and a touchdown pass on 20-of-29 passing.
Running back Tre Mason also contributed heavily as he ran for 113 yards on 29 carries, and wide receiver Kenny Britt caught four passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.
For the Broncos, quarterback Peyton Manning struggled as he threw for 389 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions on 34-of-54 passing.
He endured injuries to his supporting cast. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders sustained a concussion on a brutal hit by Rams safety Rodney McLeod. Running back Montee Ball left with an aggravated groin, and tight end Julius Thomas left with an ankle injury.
Running back C.J. Anderson showed his receiving ability as he caught eight passes for 86 yards, and he ran for 29 yards on nine carries.
