Falcons beat Panthers – Atlanta Falcons defeat Carolina Panthers, 19-17
The Cleveland Browns are continuing to prove their doubters wrong as they now have a 7-4 record. They won, 26-24, against the Atlanta Falcons.
Kicker Billy Cundiff finished the job for the Browns with a 37-yard field goal, and quarterback Brian Hoyer was able to overcome a rough day filled with three interceptions.
The Falcons appeared to have the game won after kicker Matt Bryant made a 53-yard field goal with 44 seconds left, but the Browns had other plans and controlled the clock perfectly.
Hoyer was able to throw for 322 yards on 23-of-40 passing despite the turnovers, and wide receiver Josh Gordon excelled in his return with eight catches for 120 yards.
Running back Isaiah Crowell rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, and Terrance West added 62 yards on 14 carries.
For the Falcons, quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns with an interception on 27-of-43 passing. Running back Steven Jackson was held to 34 yards on 13 carries, but he scored a rushing touchdown.
Wide receiver Roddy White caught nine passes for 96 yards.
