The Dallas Cowboys received a furious fight from the New York Giants in an NFC East rivalry game, but the Giants were unable to keep their playoff dreams alive as they fell, 31-28.
They were off to a great start though as they led, 21-10, at halftime. However, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo rallied the troops and threw two touchdown passes in the third quarter.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning was not ready to give up just yet though as he threw a touchdown pass to tight end Adrien Robinson with three minutes remaining.
Romo was forced to overcome a poor defensive performance by his team, but he was able to do so with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Dez Bryant with a minute remaining. The Giants were unable to muster another miracle drive.
The Cowboys improved to 8-3 as the Giants fell to 3-8. Romo put on an MVP-caliber performance as threw for 275 yards and four touchdown passes on 18-of-26 passing.
Running back DeMarco Murray rushed for 121 yards on 24 carries for his 10th 100-yard rushing game of the season. Bryant caught seven passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
For the Giants, Manning threw for 338 yards with three touchdowns and an interception on 29-of-40 passing. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. caught 10 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns while making one of the greatest catches in NFL history.
