Eagles Packers preview
The Philadelphia Eagles are in need of redemption after losing, 53-20, in a blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers. They will have a perfect opportunity to recover with a win against the Tennessee Titans.
The Eagles fell behind quickly and were never able to recover as they allowed Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to pick them apart.
Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez struggled as he threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles, but he threw for 354 yards with two touchdowns even though many of those yards and both touchdowns came in garbage time.
Running back LeSean McCoy was held to 88 yards on 23 carries, but wide receiver Jordan Matthews had another great game with five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, the Titans appeared well on their way to being the second team in a row to upset the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they blew a 24-13 lead and allowed 14 unanswered points.
The Titans lost their fourth game in a row, but quarterback Zach Mettenberger looked promising as he threw for 263 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
The run defense was abysmal though as they allowed Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell to run for 204 yards and a touchdown.
This loss put the Titans’ record at 2-8, and they are all but out of the playoffs. The Eagles will be an even bigger challenge than the Steelers offensively, especially considering they will be looking for redemption at home.
Prediction: Eagles 35, Titans 17
