49ers beat Giants – San Francisco 49ers defeat New York Giants, 16-10
Buccaneers beat Redskins – Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat Washington Redskins, 27-7
The San Francisco 49ers put together another fantastic defensive effort as they beat the Washington Redskins, 17-13.
The Redskins held a 13-10 lead in the fourth quarter, but running back Carlos Hyde rushed for a touchdown with just under three minutes remaining for the 49ers.
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin starred on offense for the 49ers as he caught nine passes for 137 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for 256 yards and a touchdown pass with an interception.
The defense was able to rattle Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III as they sacked him five times. Outside linebacker Aldon Smith made his presence felt by registering two of those sacks.
Griffin had another poor performance for the Redskins as he threw for 106 yards with no touchdown passes.
Running back Alfred Morris carried the load on offense with 125 rushing yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. This is sure to fuel the fire of Redskins fans who are angry with their disappointment of a franchise quarterback.
