The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Miami Dolphins 28-13 on the road to move to 8-5 on the season.
The Dolphins started with 10 unanswered points in the first quarter for a 10-0 lead heading into the second quarter. With 0:02 remaining in the second quarter, the Ravens finally broke through with a TD pass from QB Joe Flacco to WR Steve Smith Sr. Flacco played well on the day, completing over 75% of his passes and scoring three TDs on the day.
In the third quarter the Ravens would take the lead on a 2nd TD pass from Flacco, this time to Kamar Aiken for a 13-yard TD. A Dolphins FG in the fourth quarter put them within 1 point, but the Ravens took a commanding lead with a TD run from RB Justin Forsett, and the game-sealing TD from Flacco on a run of his own with 3:34 remaining to put them up 28-13 and the game was over.
With the win the Ravens move to 8-5 on the season, putting them half a game behind the Cincinnati Bengals for the AFC North division title, and for now putting them squarely in the hunt for the AFC wild card race.
With the loss Miami falls to 7-6 on the season, losing their playoff spot in the process. They will now need help in order to get back in to the playoff hunt.
