The Arizona Cardinals improved their record to 11-3 with a 12-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams. This guaranteed that they will hold at least a one-game lead in the NFC West at the end of the weekend.
However, the Cardinals suffered yet another injury as quarterback Drew Stanton left the game with a sprained knee. He was replaced by Ryan Lindley.
The Cardinals defense continued to hold strong though, and they held Rams quarterback Shaun Hill to 229 yards with no touchdowns and an interception on 20-of-39 passing. They also held running back Tre Mason to 33 yards on 13 carries.
For the Cardinals, running back Kerwynn Williams continued to be the starter as he ran for 75 yards on 15 carries, proving that his 100-yard rushing game was no fluke.
Stepfan Taylor contributed plenty in the running game too as he ran for 61 yards on 14 carries.
Kicker Chandler Catanzaro made all four of his field-goal attempts, and three of them were made from at least 40 yards. His game high came from 51 yards.
