The New York Giants improved to 5-9 and will avoid last place in the NFC East, which will go to the Washington Redskins. The Giants defeated the Redskins, 24-13, as Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy left with a neck injury once again.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning shined with one of his best performances of the season and overcame an ankle injury to starting running back Rashad Jennings.
Manning threw three touchdown passes with no interceptions with 250 yards on 23-of-34 passing. All of these touchdown passes went to rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who caught 12 passes for 143 yards.
Meanwhile, Robert Griffin III came in to replace McCoy for the Redskins.
The maligned quarterback had one of his better performances of the season as he threw for 236 yards and a touchdown pass on 18-of-27 passing.
Griffin also picked up 46 yards on the ground with just five carries. Running back Alfred Morris was held to 49 rushing yards on 14 carries.
