The Chicago Bears have been in turmoil this season, and they will look to recover against the New Orleans Saints at home.
The Bears have already been eliminated from playoff contention, but they will look to play spoiler against the Saints, who are also 5-8 but still contending for an NFC South title.
The Dallas Cowboys beat the Bears in their most recent game on Thursday Night Football. The Bears were down, 35-7, at the end of the third quarter, but they mounted a furious rally in the fourth quarter with 21 points. This ultimately fell short after quarterback Jay Cutler threw a game-ending interception.
Cutler threw for 341 yards and two touchdowns and an interception on 32-of-46 passing.
Meanwhile, the Saints are coming off a blowout loss at home to the Carolina Panthers. Quarterback Drew Brees wasn’t himself as he was held to 235 yards with one touchdown and an interception.
The Saints were unable to score a touchdown until the game was completely out of reach with just over five minutes left in the game.
They will look to recover on the road, but home-field advantage has been inexplicably non-existent for the Saints this season as they are 3-4 in New Orleans. They have won their last two road games, and their most recent road win came against a solid Pittsburgh Steelers squad.
Look for an angry Drew Brees to slice the Bears defense like many of their previous opponents.
Prediction: Saints 35, Bears 24
