Vikings beat Jets – Minnesota Vikings escape with overtime 30-24 win against New York Jets
The Detroit Lions are in a tight race with the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North title, and they will look to stay alive against the Minnesota Vikings at home.
The Lions won their second game in a row against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they scored 34 points again. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has caught fire since facing two of the toughest defenses in the Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots.
The quarterback threw three touchdown passes with 311 yards on 26-of-34 passing, and wide receiver Calvin Johnson caught eight passes for 158 yards and a touchdown.
Running back Joique Bell also shined with 83 rushing yards and a touchdown to go with 50 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are coming off a 30-24 win in overtime against the New York Jets. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater hurled the dagger, which was an 87-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jarius Wright.
The Vikings had to play without running back Jerick McKinnon, who is out for the season with a lower back injury.
They will have an extremely difficult time running the ball against a strong Lions run defense, and the Lions simply have too many weapons on offense to overcome.
Prediction: Lions 28, Vikings 17
