The Seattle Seahawks are arguably the best team in the NFL once again as they have won three games in a row. Their winning streak has come against the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.
They will look to pull off a season sweep of the 49ers, who have become a bitter rival of theirs, on Sunday. The Seahawks last faced the 49ers on Thanksgiving and defeated them, 19-3, on the road.
The Seahawks defense is still as fierce as ever after holding a high-octane Eagles offense to 14 points, and quarterback Russell Wilson is still playing at a highly efficient level.
Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez was held to 96 passing yards against the Seahawks as running back LeSean McCoy only rushed for 50 yards while losing a fumble.
Meanwhile, the 49ers are coming off a costly 24-13 loss to the Oakland Raiders. The Seahawks will be more determined than ever to beat the 49ers since this will be their chance to officially knock them out of playoff contention.
49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw two interceptions, and the defense let Raiders quarterback Derek Carr pick them apart to the tune of 254 yards and three touchdowns for a 140.2 rating.
The 49ers have been exposed as a team that is no longer a Super Bowl contender and probably not a playoff contender unless they can somehow win in Seattle, but the Seahawks are clearly in their heads.
Prediction: Seahawks 31, 49ers 14
