Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos take on Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16 of the NFL season with playoff seeding on the line.
At 11-3 and with the AFC West title all wrapped up, the Broncos only need one between now and next week to clinch a first round bye. If they win out and the Patriots lose to the Buffalo Bills next week, the Denver will once again have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. QB Peyton Manning has been struggling lately and will be battling a hamstring injury as he heads to Cincinnati for the matchup with the Bengals. Nonetheless, the team has enough firepower just between their defense and running game led by C. J. Anderson to make a ton of noise in the playoffs, and this game especially.
The Bengals are in a tricky situation. Regardless of whether they win or lose this game they will face the Pittsburgh Steelers next week for the AFC North title. QB Andy Dalton has not played as the team expected after giving him a major contract extension, poised to post career lows in TD passes. Nonethless, the team has made up for his struggles with the help of rookie RB Jeremy Hill. The Bengals could win this game if they manage to get strong performances from both players.
Prediction: Denver Broncos – Peyton Manning may not be in full form in this game, but as long as he’s slinging the ball there’s no way the Bengals defense will be able to watch him AND prevent RB Jeremy Hill from carving up the defense on the ground.
