Panthers beat Buccaneers – Carolina Panthers defeat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 19-17
The Green Bay Packers are headed to the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road, 20-3.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked like his old self again as he threw for 310 yards and a touchdown pass on 31-of-40 passing.
Running back Eddie Lacy helped the Packers dominate time of possession by 17 minutes as he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
Wide receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson shined as they both broke the 100-yard barrier. Cobb caught 11 passes for 131 yards as Nelson snagged nine passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.
The defense put on a dominant performance with seven sacks. 2.5 of these came from linebacker Clay Matthews as fellow linebacker Julius Peppers added two.
For the Buccaneers, quarterback Josh McCown was pressured all day and held to 147 yards and an interception as a result.
Running back Doug Martin was shut down as he only ran for 17 yards on 10 carries.
