The Dolphins need a big game out of QB Ryan Tannehill to save their playoff hopes (and save the job of head coach Joe Philbin).

The Miami Dolphins need a lot of help to get into the playoffs but first have to go through the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16 of the NFL season.
At 7-7 on the season the Dolphins need to win their final two games, have the Steelers lose out, have the Ravens lose out, have the Bills lose a game, have the Texans lose a game and have the Chargers lose to the Chiefs next week in order to make it into the playoffs for their first time since 2008 – not a very likely scenario. Nonetheless, the Dolphins will still play this game with everything they have as QB Ryan Tannehill and possibly-soon-to-be-fired head coach Joe Philbin trying to make something out of this fading season.
The Vikings have experienced growing pains under rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater. The Vikings 1st-round pick is coming off three straight games with over 70% of his passes completed and a passer rating of over 100 during that span. At 6-8 the Vikings have quietly been getting just enough out of Bridgewater to justify giving him the keys to the team in 2015 and beyond. With nothing to lose, the Vikings may just empty the playbook to try and get this win.
Prediction: Miami Dolphins – Simply put the Dolphins are fighting for something and have the homefield advantage on their side. Ryan Tannehill has not been doing enough to win against the best QBs, but he has more than enough talent on his side to win this game.
