Rams Cardinals preview
The St. Louis Rams defense continued to look strong in their most recent game. However, they allowed points for the first time since Week 12 as they fell, 12-6, to the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.
Quarterback Shaun Hill was held to 229 yards and an interception on 20-of-39 passing while running back Tre Mason was only able to muster 33 rushing yards on 13 carries.
Wide receiver Stedman Bailey led the Rams in receiving with 74 yards on five catches. The Rams defense will face a challenge as they look to bounce back against the New York Giants, who have averaged 30 points in their last two games.
Quarterback Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes in a 24-13 win against the Washington Redskins, and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. caught all three of them while finishing with 12 catches for 143 yards.
The Giants hold a 5-9 record, and they have shown that they can be a dangerous team at the snap of a finger while looking like one of the worst teams at other times.
Running back Rashad Jennings will be out with an ankle injury, so Andre Williams will make the start. The Rams have a tough run defense, but their secondary is capable of being dissected despite its recent dominance.
The Giants defense has looked strong recently and will continue to against a mediocre Rams offense.
Prediction: Giants 24, Rams 17
