New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan leads his team against the rival Miami Dolphins in his final game as head coach of the team.
With all of the writing on the wall that beloved head coach Rex Ryan is on his way out on Black Monday, the Jets enter this final game of the 2014 season playing for virtually nothing except a fond farewell for the head coach. The Jets have been less turnover prone the last few weeks but it has not translated into wins as the 3-12 team is currently dead last in TDs scored – with none coming on either defense or special teams.
The Dolphins were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs last week but re-committed to head coach Joe Philbin. With nothing to play for the Dolphins are playing only to avenge their loss to the Jets last season at the same day and place. QB Ryan Tannehill has been developing slowly but surely into the second best QB in the AFC East, which will mean good things for the Dolphins in the long run.
Prediction: Miami Dolphins – With a much better offense and defense than the Jets the Dolphins should be able to put their rival away rather quickly as opposed to their first contest where it was a slow bleed in the fourth quarter.
