The San Francisco 49ers have fallen from grace as they hold a 7-8 record and have lost four games in a row. Their latest loss was a major collapse as they fell, 38-35, in overtime to the San Diego Chargers.
The 49ers held a 28-7 lead at halftime, but the Chargers came storming back and took it to overtime after two fourth-quarter touchdowns by quarterback Philip Rivers.
The Chargers completed their comeback with a 40-yard field goal by Nick Novak.
The 49ers will look to avoid a losing season by defeating the Arizona Cardinals, who are also reeling.
The Cardinals were destroyed, 35-6, by the Seattle Seahawks.
Third-string quarterback Ryan Lindley will make another start as Drew Stanton is not expected to return from a knee sprain anytime soon.
Although they have already clinched a playoff spot, the Cardinals are hoping to win their 12th game of the season and win the NFC West, which will require the Seahawks to lose to the St. Louis Rams.
The Cardinals will be determined to have a chance at winning the NFC West, but it will be too difficult for them to keep up with the 49ers with Lindley under center.
Prediction: 49ers 24, Cardinals 14
