The Seattle Seahawks caught up to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West title race as they steamrolled them, 35-6, to improve their record to 11-4.
They need a win to clinch the division and likely the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and they will face the St. Louis Rams at home.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tore apart the Cardinals defense with 339 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-31 passing with 88 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries.
Tight end Luke Willson exploded with three catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Marshawn Lynch also shined with 113 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. His touchdown run became one of the biggest plays of the 2014 season.
Meanwhile, the Rams defense fell back to Earth with a 37-27 loss to the New York Giants. Giants quarterback Eli Manning picked them apart with 391 yards and three touchdowns.
Rams quarterback Shaun Hill had a solid showing against the Giants with 290 yards and two touchdowns with an interception on 24-of-32 passing.
However, the Seahawks defense will be a much bigger test. They have risen to the top in total and pass defense like last year, and their run defense is formidable as well.
Prediction: Seahawks 28, Rams 14
