The Green Bay Packers will play their first home game of the season against the New York Jets, and they are looking to move on from a 36-16 thrashing at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks.
The Jets are hoping to start off their season 2-0 after beating the Oakland Raiders, 19-14.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had an uncharacteristically poor performance with only 189 yards and a touchdown pass with an interception on 23-of-33 passing.
Running back Eddie Lacy was taken out of the game early with a concussion, but he is expected to return after having 10 days to rest.
For the Jets, quarterback Geno Smith had a solid game with 221 yards on 23-of-28 passing with a touchdown and an interception.
The Jets’ ground-and-pound rushing attack also performed well as Chris Ivory led the way with 102 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Chris Johnson added 68 yards on 13 carries.
Wide receiver Eric Decker also had a solid debut as a New York Jet with 74 receiving yards on five receptions.
The Jets have a depleted secondary, so Rodgers will look to take advantage. However, the Jets have a tough defensive line that will present a challenge for Lacy.
Prediction: Packers 31, Jets 17
