The Colts fell short of a comeback against the AFC Champion Broncos in Week 1. The Eagles scored 34 points after surprisingly falling behind 17-0 to the Jacksonville Jaguars – one of these two teams is going to need a good look at themselves after this game.
Colts QB Andrew Luck and Eagles QB Nick Foles have as many similarities as they have differences: both were drafted in 2012 but Luck was a No. 1 overall pick while Foles was relegated to the third round; both led their teams to division titles in their first year as a starter, and both are efficient with the football. This should be an excellent game for Luck against a young QB on a pass happy team.
The Colts have pass rush problems and will need to find some way to slow down the fast-paced offense of Chip Kelly’s Eagles. The Eagles will simply need to focus on Luck to stop the Colts since the Colts have virtually no rush attack.
Prediction: Colts – In a game between two high-octane offenses that can come back from almost any lead, it may come down to the last possession. And if Andrew Luck gets the ball late in the game, he can be relied on to drive the Colts down the field for a final drive.
