The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to recover from a loss to the Carolina Panthers as they face the St. Louis Rams at home.
Gathering their first win should not be too much of a challenge since the Rams only scored six points against the Minnesota Vikings, and they are down to their third-string quarterback in Austin Davis.
Davis filled in for Shaun Hill after he left with an injury, and he is set to make his first career start in the NFL.
The Buccaneers will need to step up their offense after quarterback Josh McCown threw two interceptions in his Buccaneers debut while fumbling twice, and running back Doug Martin is hoping to return healthy after sustaining a minor knee injury against the Panthers.
The running game will have another difficult defensive line to take on in the Rams, who only allowed Adrian Peterson to rush for 7 yards.
The Buccaneers should be able to take an early lead against the Rams and run the clock out though since Davis will struggle in his first NFL start. However, missing defensive ends Michael Johnson and Adrian Clayborn may allow the Rams to show signs of life on offense.
Prediction: Buccaneers 21, Rams 13
