The Washington Redskins bounced back from their opening loss to the Houston Texans and demolished the Jacksonville Jaguars, 41-10. They jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back.
However, this win wasn’t all glorious for the Redskins as they lost quarterback Robert Griffin III and wide receiver DeSean Jackson to injuries.
Backup Kirk Cousins stepped in and had an impressive performance, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-33 passing.
Running back Alfred Morris rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, and tight end Niles Paul filled in for the injured Jordan Reed admirably as he finished with eight receptions, 99 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne struggled as he completed 14-of-28 of his passes for 193 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
The running game was kept in check as Toby Gerhart only had eight yards on seven carries. Rookie Allen Robinson looked solid though as he finished with four catches for 75 yards.
