The Kansas City Chiefs crushed the favored New England Patriots 41-14 on Monday Night Football.
The Chiefs completely outmatched the Patriots in the first quarter, only letting New England touch the ball for less than 3 minutes and taking a 7-0 lead. The Chiefs once again outgained the Patriots in the 2nd quarter, entering halftime with a 17-0 lead.
The Chiefs managed to take a 27-0 lead before Tom Brady found Brandon LaFell in the 3rd quarter, but following two more TDs in the fourth quarter including a back-breaking INT-TD by Husain Abdullah. The INT-TD prompted head coach Bill Belichick to bench Tom Brady for poor performance for the first time in his career.

QB Jimmy Garoppolo came off the bench and threw a TD in garbage time to make the final score 41-14.
The 27 point loss was the 2nd largest for the Patriots since head coach Bill Belichick took over in 2000. The 41 points allowed are tied for the most allowed by the Patriots in the same period.
