Green Bay Packers struggle – Packers lose to Lions 19-7 NFL picks – Were we right about the Saints and Colts in Week 3 Thursday Night Football – Giants humiliate Washington, 45-14
Outside of overcoming an 18-point deficit against the New York Jets struggling secondary, the Green Bay Packers have struggled to move the ball the last three games. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they have played three excellent defenses: Seattle’s Legion of Boom, Rex Ryan’s exotic blitzing Jets and the incredible D-Line of the Lions. Then again, maybe the Packers have simply lost a step and have not replenished the team with enough talent. Sunday’s game against the Bears should give us a good indication as to what kind of team the Packers really are since the Bears have struggled on defense.
Here are the picks for Week 4 of NFL action:
Miami Dolphins over Oakland Raiders – The Raiders have the toughest schedule in football and this is probably the easiest game on their schedule. But the Dolphins have a lot to prove and will likely take advantage of the Raiders struggles to send them into freefall.
Detroit Lions over New York Jets – Don’t be surprised if Michael Vick takes over after the first half if Geno throws another early INT.
Baltimore Ravens over Carolina Panthers – The Ravens have found a way to make due with their struggles at the RB position, the Panthers have not.
Indianapolis Colts over Tennessee Titans – The Colts drafted a franchise QB in 2012, the Titans thought they drafted one in 2011 and still aren’t sure.
Buffalo Bills over Houston Texans – This is the kind of game where the Bills prove they’re for real and the Texans prove their 2-0 record was a fluke.
Chicago Bears over Green Bay Packers – Maybe the Packers defense isn’t as bad as most people think, but the Bears is still better.
Pittsburgh Steelers over Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Steelers have the best rushing attack in football going against one of the worst defenses in football, not to mention Tampa Bay is completely lost at QB.
San Diego Chargers over Jacksonville Jaguars – Not sure when the Jaguars will be predicted to win their first game. But it won’t be this week either.
San Francisco 49ers over Philadelphia Eagles – Contrary to popular belief, the 49ers are NOT in freefall mode, and this game against a real playoff contender will prove it.
Atlanta Falcons over Minnesota Vikings – With or without Teddy Bridgewater, it’s too hard to pick against the Falcons after the clinic they put on against the Bucs last Thursday.
New Orleans Saints over Dallas Cowboys – The mere thought of the Saints with Sean Peyton at the helm starting 1-3 could cause NFL playoff predictors to take a collective shudder.
New England Patriots over Kansas City Chiefs – The Patriots offense has not looked pretty, but it’s good enough to beat the Kansas City Chiefs – especially with their incredible defense.
