The New Orleans Saints are coming off a shocking blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and they are looking to dig themselves out of a 1-3 start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Saints have proven that they still struggle on the road, and their defense has been a massive disappointment. Quarterback Drew Brees has also looked somewhat off, but he threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns with one interception against the Cowboys.
The running game also sputtered, aside from a 62-yard run by starting running back Khiry Robinson, who continues to fill in for the injured Mark Ingram.
The offense will have a prime opportunity to redeem itself as the Saints return home and face a vulnerable Buccaneers defense.
However, the Buccaneers offense appears to be on the rise with Mike Glennon as their new starting quarterback, and he came through in the clutch with a touchdown pass with seven seconds left in the game.
This gave the Buccaneers their first win of the season. Glennon and running back Doug Martin, who returned healthy last week, will look to capitalize on an underachieving Saints defense.
However, the Saints perform well at home and are too desperate for a win to let the Buccaneers upset them.
Prediction: Saints 34, Buccaneers 17
