The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, and they will look to recover and improve to 4-1 against the St. Louis Rams.
Quarterback Nick Foles struggled greatly as he was held to 195 yards and two interceptions on 21-of-43 passing, and running back LeSean McCoy’s slow start persisted as he was held to 17 yards on 10 carries.
Tight end Zach Ertz and wide receiver Riley Cooper didn’t help matters for the Eagles either as they each lost a fumble.
Meanwhile, the Rams are coming off a bye week with a 1-2 record, and Austin Davis will remain their starting quarterback. Davis threw for 327 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in a 34-31 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Running back Zac Stacy has gotten off to a relatively slow start as he has rushed for 181 yards and one touchdown in three games.
The Rams have the second-ranked pass defense in the NFL, but the Eagles offense will be a challenge for them to stop. Plus, their run defense is weak, so this will give McCoy a prime opportunity to bounce back.
The Eagles have too many weapons for the Rams to keep up with, so being at home and hungry for a bounceback win should propel them to 4-1.
Prediction: Eagles 30, Rams 14
