The Seattle Seahawks defeated Washington 27-17 on Monday Night Football thanks to yet another exceptional performance by QB Russell Wilson and more domination by the defense.
The Seahawks entered the week with domination in mind and they accomplished just that thanks to an 18 of 24 for 201 yards and two TD passing performance by Russell Wilson to go along with 122 yards and a third TD on the ground.
Washington never once held the lead in the game, giving up the first 17 points before finally scoring a TD in the late 2nd quarter. Washington QB Kirk Cousins helped pull the score closer with a FG in the third quarter, but a TD pass by Wilson to RB Marshawn Lynch with only 6:31 left in the game made a comeback too hard. Cousins was able to make one more TD pass to WR Andre Roberts with 3:35 to go, but the Seahawks methodically drove down the field and scored a FG with 0:21 left to play to put the game out of reach.
The Seahawks are now 3-1 while Washington is now 1-4.
