The Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, and they flexed their muscles with a convincing 27-0 victory.
The Eagles took a 20-0 lead at halftime, and they cruised to a shutout victory as their defense shined with eight sacks. Outside linebacker Connor Barwin led the Eagles with three sacks.
Quarterback Nick Foles continued to struggle with turnovers as he threw two interceptions, but he threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-34 passing.
Running back LeSean McCoy looked like his old self again as he rushed for 149 yards on 22 carries. However, the Eagles offense took a hit as running back Darren Sproles left the game with a knee injury.
For the Giants, quarterback Eli Manning was held to 151 yards as he was unable to overcome a leaky offensive line that allowed him to be sacked six times.
The Giants offense missed the presence of running back Rashad Jennings. Andre Williams filled in and rushed for 58 yards on 16 carries.
