The Atlanta Falcons are coming off their second loss in a row to the New York Giants, and they will return home to face the Chicago Bears, who are 2-3 and coming off a two-game losing streak like the Falcons.
The Falcons held a 20-10 lead against the New York Giants, but they let it slip away in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 316 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
The running game was practically non-existent as the Falcons were held to 90 total rushing yards. Rookie Devonta Freeman rushed for 38 yards on four carries, but Steven Jackson was held to 37 yards on 13 carries despite rushing for a touchdown.
Wide receiver Julio Jones continued to be the clear top weapon in the Falcons offense, but Roddy White will look to get involved again after having an off day.
For the Bears, quarterback Jay Cutler is coming off another game that consisted of two interceptions. However, he was solid overall with 289 yards on 28-of-36 passing with two touchdown passes.
His clutch play was awful though as he threw an interception and lost a fumble in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Running back Matt Forte continued to be a fantastic all-around weapon though as he caught 12 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown while adding 61 rushing yards.
The Bears cannot afford to commit any turnovers against an offense that can light up the scoreboard on any given day. While this is a relatively even matchup, the Falcons will be at home and have enough firepower to beat the Bears.
Prediction: Falcons 28, Bears 24
