The Dallas Cowboys are on top of the world after defeating the Seattle Seahawks on the road, which is a big accomplishment in today’s NFL.
Running back DeMarco Murray gashed the Seahawks defensive line for 115 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries. Quarterback Tony Romo played efficient football as he threw for 250 yards and two touchdown passes on 21-of-32 passing.
The Cowboys hold a 5-1 record, and they will take on the New York Giants at home, who are coming off a brutal 27-0 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
After winning three games in a row, the Giants fell to 3-3 as quarterback Eli Manning was held to 151 yards while being sacked six times.
Running back Andre Williams was ordinary in his first NFL start as he was held to 59 yards on 17 carries, but he will face a vulnerable Cowboys run defense that has allowed 115 rushing yards per game.
The Giants will face a major obstacle as they adjust to life without wide receiver Victor Cruz, who is out for the season with a torn patellar tendon.
Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle will look to step up in Cruz’s absence. Despite this adversity, the Giants have proven capable of playing at a high level. It will be difficult for the Cowboys to repeat what they pulled off against the Seahawks, so the Giants will have the opportunity to pounce.
Prediction: Giants 24, Cowboys 20
